Common questions
How do I restore Pro on a new phone?
Open the app, go to Settings and tap Restore purchase. Make sure your iPhone is signed in to the same Apple Account you used to buy Pro. You don’t need an iDoughMath account for this.
How do I cancel my subscription?
In the app, go to Settings, then Manage subscription. Or open your iPhone’s Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and choose iDoughMath. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date to avoid the next charge. Pro stays on until the end of the period you’ve paid for.
Refunds are handled by Apple: ask at reportaproblem.apple.com.
How do I delete my account?
In the app, go to Settings, then Delete account. This deletes your account and everything backed up to it: your backed-up recipes and settings. The recipes on your phone stay. If the app asks, sign out, sign in again, then delete. Deleting your account doesn’t cancel Pro; cancel that in your Apple Account settings.
Which cup does a recipe use?
Cups aren’t the same everywhere: a US cup is 240 ml, a metric cup 250 ml and a Japanese cup 200 ml. When you add or edit a recipe, choose the cup it was written with under Cup size used in this recipe. If you don’t choose, the US cup is assumed. Grams are always exact, so switch the recipe to Grams for the most reliable amounts.
How do I scale a recipe?
Open a recipe and tap ½×, 1×, 1.5× or 2×, use the servings stepper, or tap any amount and type what you have. Everything else rescales.
A link didn’t bring in the whole recipe
iDoughMath reads recipe websites that publish their recipe in the standard recipe format, YouTube video descriptions and public Instagram captions. If a site doesn’t publish its recipe that way, or the recipe is only spoken in the video, copy the recipe text and paste it instead. Any line that can’t be read is kept exactly as written, so you can fix it.
Why didn’t my timer ring?
Allow notifications for iDoughMath in your iPhone’s Settings, and keep the volume up. On iOS 26 and later, allow iDoughMath to use alarms when it asks, so the final alarm can ring even in silent mode. Check that a Focus mode isn’t silencing iDoughMath.
Do I need an account?
No. An account is optional. It backs up your settings and saved recipes so they move with you to a new phone. Photos stay on your phone.
I deleted a recipe by mistake
Go to Settings, then Recently deleted, and tap Restore. Deleted recipes are kept there for 10 days.
